Camino Nuevo Charter Academy had a desire to articulate its vision amidst internal growth and evolution, and significant changes to larger education landscape. The goal was to articulate a tangible, yet authentic definition of success and impact to align organization and school sites, strategy and priorities, and resources.
Blue Garnet worked with Camino to define a vision for impact and strategy to expand impact, including organization-wide strategic priorities and initial performance dashboard. We employed a pro forma tool to standardize Camino's program model across school sites, and to identify tradeoffs and anchor planning with sustainable financial projections. Working with board and staff leaders, we developed a multi-year plan to achieve its vision for impact, including refined approach to program planning. Along the way, we maintained extensive engagement of board, staff, and school site leadership.
The process yielded the ability to articulate internal culture and programmatic strategy in “the CNCA Way” to achieve its newly defined vision for impact. The team felt clarity of direction and alignment of priorities across organization and schools, which led to leadership development with renewed engagement at board and staff levels.
